Altamonte Springs is a northern suburb within the Orlando Metro Area of Florida. It is a city in Seminole County which has an estimated population of 42,150, now the county's largest city.

The students of Pre-K through 5th grades have Altamonte, Forest City, Lake Orienta and Spring Lake Elementary's available to them, while those attending 6th – 8th grades will go to Millwee, Rock Lake or Teague Middle Schools and finish up their years at Lake Brantley High School. There are many private options available also, Altamonte Christian School, Annunciation Catholic Academy, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and Forest City Seventh Day Adventist School. With 93% of these students graduating from high school and continuing their education, City College-Altamonte Springs and Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology are right here in Altamonte, while Rollins College, Florida Technical College, Full Sail University, Seminole State, Valencia and University of Central Florida are all within a 15 mile radius.

With the center of the city alongside the beautiful Cranes Roost Lake that lies just East of Interstate 4, an outdoor town center was recently opened named "Uptown Altamonte," Cranes Roost Park is at the heart of Uptown Altamonte, with its one mile continuous walkway, a European-styled plaza as well as the lakeside Eddie Rose Amphitheater with its one-of-a-kind floating stage and stadium-style seating. Uptown Altamonte features a choreographed fountain show plus a 62-foot picturesque tower. Cranes Roost Park is Central Florida's premier outdoor event venue, with weekly, monthly activities including the incredibly popular Red Hot & Boom!, an Independence Day celebration, Light Up the Holidays and the Taste of Altamonte Springs celebration.
